SPIRITUAL FORMATION REQUIREMENTS
Each semester there are between 110 to 125 spiritual formation credits available. Full-time students are required to have a total of 20 spiritual formation credits. Students need to acquire 10 of their spiritual formation credits in our Tuesday, Gathering Chapels and can acquire the rest of their credits in any of our spiritual life events.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION REDUCTIONS
From time to time, academic requirements prohibit students from being able to attend enough spiritual formation events. The following is a list of circumstances that allow for a reduction in an individual’s spiritual formation credits.

REDUCTION TO 10 SPIRITUAL FORMATION CREDITS

Education Majors enrolled in a practicum

Nursing students in their junior year of nursing school

Student enrolled in an internship of 3 to 6 academic hours

Students with 88 completed academic credits (seniors)
REDUCTION TO 6 SPIRITUAL FORMATION CREDITS

Nursing students in their senior year of nursing school
REDUCTION TO 0 SPIRITUAL FORMATION CREDITS

Students who are 24 years old and living off campus

Education majors enrolled in Student Teaching

Students who are the primary care-giver to their child

Students living off campus and enrolled in 10 academic hours or less
HOW TO RECEIVE A SPIRITUAL FORMATION CREDIT REDUCTION
Spiritual formation reductions are automatically applied to a student’s iAttended account within two weeks of the first day of classes.
The majority of reductions are applied to the student’s account due to academic reasons; therefore, there is no need to contact the Spiritual Life Office to request a reduction unless a student has enrolled in a class qualifying for a reduction after the semester has begun.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION FINE PROGRAM
From time to time students will not complete their spiritual formation requirements by the end of the semester. If you find yourself in this circumstance, each student is eligible for a one-time reduction or elimination of their spiritual formation fine.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION FINE PROGRAM DETAILS

You can sign up for the Spiritual Formation Fine Program at the conclusion of the semester you received a fine.

After you have signed-up for the program, your fine will be eliminated or reduced:
Fines between $25 -$150: completely eliminated.
Fines between $175-$250: reduced by half.
Fines between $275-$500: reduced by one-fourth.

In the following semester, you will receive an email with a link to a chapel service for you to watch.

A couple of weeks after you’ve received the link to the chapel service, one of the Student Chaplains will contact you to set up a 45-minute to hour-long meeting with you.
